Save time and money by browsing WAP sites! : The WAP or “Wireless Application Protocol” is a world specification which authorizes users of wireless devices to easily access information and services on the Web very quickly. A great number of manufacturers of Smartphones like Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola, Blackberry, Palm and developers of software like IBM, Microsoft and Oracle have agreed to develop a common standard for mobile access to information (WAP).

WAP gives access to the users of mobile phones to the Internet and the services of the Web. WAP Sites offer a very fast access to information with a limited use of the band-width, which results in less expensive invoices for your use when downloading wireless data. You can surf on Internet with your regular mobile phone or with your Smartphone, you connect on WAP sites with your mobile Internet browser and reap the benefit$.

Here are the steps to create links on your BlackBerry:

1) Go on to your “Internet Browser” icon

2) Turn the trackwheel or trackball and move over “WAP Bookmarks” or another bookmark file where you want to record the new link

3) Press on the trackwheel select “Expand” to open the contents of the file

4) Press on the trackwheel to choose “Add a bookmark”

5) In first section enter the Name of your bookmark, for example “Yahoo”

6) Turn the trackwheel down once and enter the address of the WAP site which interests you

7) Press again on the trackwheel select “Add”, voila!

To open the link, select it with your trackwheel, press on the trackwheel again to choose “Go to link” and you will be quickly connected to your content.
